After military raid on Kanu's residence,UK government queries Nigerian government on the whereabouts of the IPOB Leader The United Kingdom has asked the Federal Government to clarify the status and whereabouts of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. The British government said it had asked the government if the British national was alive or dead. However, it could not be immediately ascertained if the Federal Government had responded to the inquiries or not. The Press Officer, UK high commission in Nigeria, Joe Abuku, stated that the inquiry followed reports that Kanu had been missing since September 14, 2017 when armed soldiers stormed his residence in Abia State. The EFCC under the PDP prosecuted a sitting Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Tafa Balogun for embezzlement. He was charged to court and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Under the APC, a serving Senator has just accused the current IGP of taking bribes to the tune of 120 billion naira yet, mum is the word from their EFCC. The EFCC under this government has to shed itself of partisan prosecutions and be truly blind to politics. The EFCC has to serve ALL Nigerians. We hope Alhaji Magu will listen to the voices of reason and invite the IGP for questioning for the sake of Nigeria's global image.

Spokesman of @PoliceNG lied on National TV, @Senator Misau’s retirement followed due process, says Police Commission The Police Service Commission has laid to rest controversy surrounding the retirement letter of the Chairman  Senate Committee on Navy, Senator Isah Misau from the Nigeria Police Force. The Inspector General of Police  (IGP), Ibrahim Idris had alleged that the Senator was a deserter adding that his retirement letter from the Force was forged. The controversy arose after the Senator accused the IGP of collecting bribes from some officers before they were promoted The Police Service Commission on Wednesday however said the letter was not forged and that the Senator’s retirement from the Force followed due process. The Commission also said it issued the letter to the Senator. Police Commission confirms Senator Misau’s retirement letter. The Police Service Commission (PSC), on Wednesday, confirmed the retirement letter of Sen. Isah Misau, Chairman Senate Committee on Navy, to be authentic. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the Nigeria Police Force on Aug. 27 declared Misau a deserter and accused him of carrying a forged retirement letter. NAN also recalls that Misau was invited by the commission to appear before its Special Panel investigating the genuineness or otherwise of the two letters of retirement emanating from the commission. Misau in series of interviews with newsmen accused the Inspector General of Police of taking bribe to post police officers as well as diverting money paid by private companies for police duties.
